Isla Mujeres is the name of a small island, as well as the town on that island, a short distance off the coast of the northeast of Cancun. When the Spanish arrived here in the 16th century they named it "Isla Mujeres" meaning "Island of Women" because of the many cult images of the moon goddess here.
Since the 1970s there has been substantial development. Ferry boats run every half hour during daylight between Isla Mujeres and Cancún on the mainland. The island is popular with day trippers, but activity quiets down in the evening after the tour groups leave.
Remember that there is a wide range of beautiful properties that are available. Many new properties are being completed every day and are coming onto the market and are not yet listed anywhere.
There is absolutely no formal multiple listing service (central database) for properties in Mexico (as there is in the U.S.) and there is nothing that we know of that is online or on a website that is fully reliable.
Therefore, the properties listed below are only a fraction of what's available. We know of many more fine properties for sale but have not displayed them at this time.
Please call us or e-mail us and give us all of the details, elements and attributes of the property that you're looking for and we'll email you a customized report.
We have no personal ownership stake in any property or in any project. Our advice is purely objective and straightforward.
Best of all, our Buyer clients pay no fee to us, as the fee is paid by the Seller when the transaction closes (just as in the United States).
